Rivesaltes Ambre 2008 is a special dessert wine made at Château de Nouvelle, a historic Duras family castle nestled in the vast hills of southern France.
The 2008 vintage of Rivesaltes Ambre is made from three white grape varieties (Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeo).
Ambre is characterized by its brilliant golden color, delicate aroma, smooth mouthfeel and nutty flavor.
It goes very well with white fish such as red sea bream, fruit tarts, cheesecake, and foie gras.
In France, dessert wine is often drunk as an aperitif or after a meal with dessert.
On hot summer days, we recommend pouring it over lots of ice as an aperitif!
You can also enjoy it in a variety of ways, such as having it with after-dinner desserts or chocolates while warming yourself by the fireplace during the cold seasons from autumn to winter.
We recommend serving it chilled at 10-12 degrees.
Alcohol content: 17% Capacity: 750ml
[Reviews]
This dessert wine has an amber glow and looks particularly special.
While sloping shoulder bottles are the norm, this sleek, angular bottle gives off a sense of luxury.
After taking a sip, the deep, sweet aroma wafts through your nose, and the luscious taste reminiscent of apricot and yellow peach is absolutely delicious!
It's deep yet fruity, and very addictive.
A chilled Rivesaltes Ambre goes perfectly with dishes that use fruit or blue cheese, and is also recommended with dark chocolate after a meal!
